Are you using your arms enough?

There is a large group of people who don’t use their arms in the way that they are supposed to, often when you mention it to them they haven‘t even noticed.


TRUE STORY


The typical presentation is someone who has worked in an office for a number of years. They keep fit, usually by regular exercise such as walking or jogging.


They avoid lifting weights as they don’t want to get “bulky” shoulders (also known as normal functioning shoulders) but will wear clothing with added shoulder pads at work.

They don’t pick up heavy things as other people do that for them, eventually they are powerless to reach items on high shelves.


They might go to the occasional legs bums and tums class but obviously that misses out half their body.


Not using your arms enough means your upper body is starved energy, your chest tightens, your blood pressure will probably go up as well as your heart has to work harder.

The solution: USE YOUR ARMS
